The Question of Morality

What is morally right???

What is morally wrong???

How should one decide???

and why is it important???

Who defines morality????

You, me, or someone???

Let me ask you...

Isn't morality universal???

The perception of morality...

Differs for everyone...

The good, the right for one...

Can be the bad, the wrong for others...

Why is there conflict in perceptions..??

What must be the reason???

Is morality one's own understanding, realization???

Or is it left on karma, god, or supernatural to judge???

We ourselves have defined/justified/decided,

The behavior, the actions, the thoughts...

Morality is corrupted by one's own interests and ego...

I am only right, others are wrong...

We fail to understand/realize...

The light & the dark lies in-universe together...

They have no such meaning...

Similar to the newborn...

They are neutral, they are natural...

We are free from the good,

Free from the bad...

Since the day we are born...

The question of morality begins...

As we learn, we grow, we evolve...

We act, we react, we believe...

without a single thought...

How will we understand morality...

without a question, without a reason??

There is no answer to morality...

If there is no question to self...

You will always be right...

Others will always be wrong...

"Don't go by what you hear, or what you have read...

Don't go by what you have seen or have been passed upon generations...

Don't go by mere reason or mere logic

or as said by me, sermons of saints or teachers...

If anything is harmful or blameworthy...

If anything is apprehended by wise

If anything leads to ill-being or suffering...

You should put them away..."

Said the Buddha; in a sermon to Kalamas...

There is good in the universe...

There is bad too...

There is good in the bad...

There is bad in good too...

That is the universal nature of morality...

Morality is not a tool of justification,

for actions, behavior, or thoughts...

Morality is to be practiced...

for self, for others, for the greater good...
